Lycra & Lace Come Together for Totescity’s Bicycle Prom
This weekend, hundreds will gather at Artifice in Las Vegas for Bicycle Prom--a cyclist-centric dance party hosted by Totescity with the help of the Fremont Bike Clinic and benefiting WBR. Typically hosted twice a year, the Bicycle Prom promotes cycling awareness and serves as a community event where cyclists from various walks of life can gather for an evening of revelry. The event begins with a group bicycle ride to the venue. Prom or “cyclist chic” attire is encouraged (at past Bicycle Proms many partygoers creatively dressed in a manner that fused typical cyclist attire (e.g. lycra and spandex) with prom dresses and tuxes!).
As Totescity starts the music, a group ride sponsored by New Belgium will depart from UNLV and provide free beer tokens to the riders. Prom attendees will arrive to find a bike valet service provided by Freemont Bike Clinic! As they dance the night away, they'll take breaks for Prom photos before a classic high-school style prom backdrop. A cycling themed video created by Totescity will be projected on the wall featuring event sponsor MASH SF, who will also be giving away bike apparel along with Cadence. The evening will culminate in a giveaway of two custom bicycles and, of course--what's Prom without the crowning of a King and Queen?
A huge thanks to Totescity for selecting WBR to benefit from Bicycle Prom!
