5X Strong: Jordan Rapp’s 5th Annual Rappstar Charity Challenge
Jordan Rapp’s 5th Annual Rappstar Charity Challenge is underway, and Jordan is hoping to reach over $100k this year! Through the Rappstar Charity Challenge, pro triathlete Jordan Rapp has set forth a call to action to all athletes, supporters and philanthropic individuals who want to empower hundreds of people through the power of bicycles. Over the past four years, Jordan has raised over $175,000 for the Power of Bicycles, with last year’s total making up a large portion of that at $71k. If he breaks $100k this year, he will continue his streak as the highest repeat annual fundraiser for WBR!
Here’s how it works. For every $134 (the price of one Buffalo Bike) that someone donates, they will be eligible for some great prizes from Jordan’s sponsors and people in the industry that support his great efforts for WBR. Some of the top prizes include a Specialized Shiv spec’ed with SRAM and Zipp components, entries into one full Ironman and one Ironman 70.3 event, a 2 night stay with an ocean view at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel in Kona, and more.
But this year’s newly deemed “5 for 5” event has a special twist in honor of the 5th anniversary. Those donating $670 (5 bikes)--a great way to recognize and honor Jordan’s extraordinary commitment to World Bicycle Relief--will receive by mail a “5 for 5 Rapp|WBR package” that will include a variety of SRAM/WBR swag items (including a WBR tee, socks, water bottle, beanie, and SRAM chain and bar tape)and our limited edition 2013 Kona visor specifically designed for Jordan.
The fundraiser runs concludes at the Ironman World Championships in Kona on October 12. WBR is excited to be there supporting Jordan in his efforts and will have special events going on throughout the week and additional ways to get involved in sharing the Power of Bicycles.
